To learn more, please visit the Position A member of the executive leadership team, the Chief of Supply Chain Operations (CSCO) will formulate and execute organizational strategy as ACCFB positions itself to scale and deepen its impact in the community. With a focus on growing and improving end-to-end supply chain operations, the CSCO will create data-driven implementation plans to ensure ACCFB centers its programs and services around the needs of end-consumers and achieves its ambitious goals. Reporting to the Executive Director, the CSCO is an integral executive senior leader, overseeing the Operations and Programs Departments with nearly 40 staff (including drivers, warehouse staff, office staff, and outreach staff), and directly managing the Director of Operations and Director of Programs. The CSCO will lead all areas of operations and programs with an eye toward building a human-focused logistical operation that meets the needs of the community. Areas of responsibility include: * Strategic planning and organizational leadership * End-to-End Supply Chain: Food acquisition (dynamically sourced, including: donated products, purchased food, and government food), warehouse operations, inventory control, food distribution, transportation and other logistics. * Property Management: Facility maintenance, including capital improvements and construction projects. * Agency Network: Manage relationships with network of 200-plus agencies, including capacity building and contract compliance efforts. * Programs: Oversee government and other related programming. Organizational and Divisional Leadership * Serve as a contributing member of a consensus-driven executive team, aligning areas of responsibility with ACCFB strategic direction goals and objectives. * Collaborate across the Food Bank to develop and implement programs and operations process improvements, optimizing deployment of available facilities, people, and funds. * Lead, develop, and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring that strategy, practices and initiatives are aligned with overall organizational objectives and growth. * Partner with human resources on the development of division staff capabilities - with the goal of fostering a team culture of professional development and generating business results. * Drive effective acquisition and deployment of ACCFB-owned transportation fleet and supporting resources. * Serve as a culture builder and carrier for the organization. * In partnership with Director of Information Systems, manage and improve existing division IT infrastructure. - Leverage systems to drive productivity, lower costs, improve service, and eliminate errors. Supply Chain Management * Develop and continuously improve a client-focused supply chain that enables growth in operations, develops talent that drives improvement in service, and increases community impact. * Establish data-driven goals, performance metrics, and performance management tools for overall supply chain operations. Mentor staff in the creation and implementation of metrics to achieve process improvements. * Meet food distribution poundage targets, warehouse standards expectations, and other division goals. * Lead food handling safety and, in cooperation with the Director of HR, lead overall safety procedures, DOT and OSHA compliance, and IIPP maintenance and training. Candidate Requirements: * Demonstrated commitment to and passion for serving the community and alleviating hunger. Experience with mission-driven or community-based organizations a plus. * At least 10 years of relevant industry experience in managing supply chain operations in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, retail food distribution or a related field. Food banking experience or experience with produce or other dynamic inventory a plus. * At least 10 years of experience with supply and demand planning, inventory management, procurement, distribution, operations, and transportation logistics. * Minimum five years of creative and inspired leadership experience supervising senior management and frontline supervisors. * Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with highly developed interpersonal and coaching skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships inside and outside ACCFB. * Values focused leader who emphasizes honesty and integrity in their work activities and inspires co-workers to follow their lead. * Innovative self-starter with an orientation towards action and process improvement. The starting salary is $147,000 annually.
